ALICIA BARTERIAN, CCA
Director of Agronomy Services
Alicia Barterian joined Integrated Ag Services as an agronomy consultant in 2018 and was promoted to director of agronomy services in 2022. She is a Certified Crop Adviser and received her Master of Science in Crop and Soil Sciences (with a concentration in weed science) from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Agronomy at Penn State.
Alicia’s favorite farm technology tool is a drone utilized for scouting. “The quality of the images is phenomenal, and the information collected is a huge asset for me to make informed agronomic decisions. I’ve learned so much about my customers’ fields over the past few years because I am gathering data across the entire field throughout the growing season.”
Harvest is her favorite season because you see the results of hard work and planning. “It’s also a time to reflect on practices that worked well and how to make improvements in the future. One of my favorite things as an agronomic consultant is building relationships with my customers and pushing ourselves to try new things each year.”
Her favorite in-field meal: “During the field season, I pack peanut butter sandwiches because it’s easy and can go anywhere.”
Alicia has a four-year-old daughter and five-month-old son that keep her and her husband busy outside of work. They enjoy spending time outdoors, especially at local parks and the Columbus Zoo. They’re also fans of the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Columbus Crew.
